'The best place I want to be is with her'
That's what Bill Barr, says of his wife Doris. The couple have been married for 66 years, and for almost two decades, Barr has been supporting and caring for his wife, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in the late 1990s. Up until 5 years ago, Doris was still living at home with Bill, who was providing the bulk of the care for her. Even now in a care home, Bill visits his wife almost daily to have lunch with her.
